Such a beautiful, serene place, from the property to the staff to the other guest to the resort dogs. A good breakfast ; eggs to order, fruit, toast, juices, sausage, and selection of Thai dishes. Buffet style in the restaurant. Dinner one night in the restaurant - good selection with typical prices - $150 bht typical entree. All meals were very well prepared, attentive service. The beds were firm (normal SE Asia style), but pillows were soft. We slept well Both pools are nice, with the sunset, neg edge pool being the sunnier, warmer of the two. Yes, the resort has a few dings, scratches, and chips (like me). It makes it all the more classic and soulful. We look forward to chance to return

Spent two nights at this wonderful resort. Loved every minute of it. The beautiful landscaped gardens, the staff and food was 1st class. You could spend much more in lesser quality hotels.

This place is exactly what you're looking for if you're looking for a quiet oasis in the mountains of Thailand. It's filled with old giant trees with hanging vines. There are streams, crickets, and probably frogs I haven't heard yet. It is such a dream place to be. The staff are amazing and always here to help.

I really wanted to like Fern and was looking forward to staying, but we were left feeling underwhelmed and annoyed that somewhere that should be (and could be) lovely with a bit of investment had been left to slowly fall apart. The gardens themselves are lovely and clearly the gardeners take a great deal of pride in them, however the Christmas decorations need to be thrown away. Honestly they’re so tired looking it would be better to simply not bother. The rooms are very tired, beds are old-skool Thai and rock hard, and the bathroom taps in my room were loose, and one of my lights didn’t work. The rooms were spotless though and we liked the pool. However it’s the restaurant where things really hit the skids. It needs a complete revamp, the breakfast was by far the worst we have had in Northern Thailand, limited and unappetising looking choices (very limited fruit; no muesli or yogurt). There was overall an air of sadness about the place. It would not take much to spruce things up and I hope whoever owns it uses some of the money they’re making to reinvest, as it could be really very good indeed. Currently though it isn’t. I wouldn’t stay again.

Fern Resort is like a dream in the middle of the jungle! Great villas surrounded by nature and a small river. The whole complex is exquisite, but I highlight the friendliness of the staff, and the amazing pool overlooking the rice fields. You can make trails and rent bicycles in the area. This was the best accommodation in Thailand to date! 🇹🇭

A stunning location in northern Thailand. Such a tranquil rainforest setting. The infinity pool overlooking the rice fields is stunning. A great place to relax and watch the sun go down. The staff were friendly and helpful. A 10 minute motorbike ride to Mae Sariang which has fun night markets. We did the hike through the National Park, where we could swim below beautiful waterfalls. We stayed 3 nights at Fern, and that should be the minimum stay as it's such a tranquil location. The rooms are a little dated, but very clean. A mini fridge in the room would have been useful. The aircon wasn't the best, but fortunately the weather isn't very hot in December.
